Faith Hill Sings Sunday Night Football Anthem For Fifth Year

Faith Hill

Faith Hill is ready for some football. For the fifth year, she will perform the opening theme for NBC’s Sunday Night Football, “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night.” The song debuts this season on Sunday, September 11, the first Sunday Night Football broadcast of 2011, featuring a showdown between the Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints.
“I wait all year for Sunday Night,” Faith said.  “Somehow the season wouldn’t feel the same without seeing everyone from NBC/ Sunday Night Football over the summer (when we record and film the open).  It makes it feel like the wait for the season is somehow shorter.”
“Faith Hill has become a staple of Sunday Night Football,” said Fred Gaudelli, NBC Sunday Night Football producer. “And in year five she’s better than ever.”
“Waiting All Day for Sunday Night”  is set to the original Joan Jett song “I Hate Myself For Loving You.” The song will be used weekly throughout the NFL season on NBC. Faith is currently in the studio working on her first new music in six years.
